What is QiC Diabetes?

QiC Diabetes is a multi-tiered programme of activity that ultimately aims to deliver improved patient outcomes through the shared goals of improving awareness, prevention and detection of diabetes, together with improved access to treatment.

How do I keep up to date with QiC Diabetes developments?

Contact Debbie Tuesley dtuesley@pmlive.com or Charlotte Garnade cgarnade@pmlive.com

Who can enter?

The programme is open to anyone working in the diabetes community; in a health service; for a patient group; in the voluntary sector; industry; in a consultancy; or people with diabetes. Entries are accepted for projects between January 2022 to July 2024 and they must be able to demonstrate the difference they have made.

What work is eligible?

  • Entries are accepted for projects between January 2022 to July 2024 and they must be able to demonstrate the difference they have made. Projects which have no results yet should consider applying in 2025
  • Please refer to either the category description or the online entry system (https://qicdiabetes.awardsplatform.com/) for criteria details.
  • Please note that an initiative can be entered into one category only. However, an entrant can submit multiple initiatives into the appropriate categories.
  • Please carefully consider which category you choose, as there will be no category reallocation by the judges.
  • Particular credit will be given to projects which demonstrate results having quality and/or efficiency benefits which could be replicated elsewhere, thereby having a greater impact than their initial focus.

Are entries limited to the UK and Ireland?

Yes – however we are still interested in hearing about initiatives that benefit patients and may be able to feature them in blogs/newsletters. Please contact Debbie Tuesley: T: 01372 414243 E:dtuesley@pmlive.com if you have a great initiative you’d like to share and disseminate.

Can I enter more than one category?

Organisations may enter more than one category, but can only enter each project into a maximum of one category

Can I change or withdraw my entry after submission?
