Sarah Thorne has been in healthcare for over 30 years, initially in dentistry as a dental hygienist, graduating from Birmingham University and then further
studies at UCLan with special interests in maxillofacial surgery, oral medicine and head and neck cancers. Over the years Sarah has worked in
both the NHS and private sectors. More recently, Sarah gained a Masters in Physician Associate Studies at the University of Manchester. Throughout her varied career she has been involved in science communications, education, mentoring, research, diabetes care pathways, patient-led assessments of secondary and primary care settings, and as a volunteer mental health advocate.  

Sarah has a passion for dermatology, research, and strives for high standards of patient care.

Sarah works for the British Skin Foundation as a Research Officer and is both excited and privileged to again be on the QiC Dermatology judging panel.
