Dr Rukshana Ali is the Clinical Psychologist within the Paediatric Dermatology team and jointly leads a specialist Paediatric Psychodermatology service at the St John’s Institute of Dermatology. Dr Ali qualified with her doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Dr Ali is the psychology lead for Psychodermatology UK (sub speciality group of The British Association of Dermatologists). She has worked with the British Society for Paediatric and Adolescent Dermatology (BSPAD) Psychology Taskforce, developing guidelines around mental health monitoring and support, for children and young people. Dr Ali is passionate about raising awareness about the psychological impact of skin diseases and has contributed to training, research, publications and conference presentations around this.
