Kläre is the directorate pharmacist for Dermatology and has been an independent prescriber since 2016. She qualified as a pharmacist in 2007 and has worked in both adult and paediatric hospital settings. Kläre began specialising in Dermatology at Broadgreen Hospital, Liverpool in 2013. Prior to becoming a pharmacist Kläre was a Biomedical Scientist specialising in blood transfusion science.
As well as working within the pharmacy department, Kläre has developed her specialist role within the Dermatology directorate. Kläre has developed the role of the pharmacist in the severe psoriasis biologics clinic where she reviews patients. She also reviews patients being treated with DMARDS. Kläre also leads the clinical pharmacy service to dermatology inpatients and patients attending the dermatology day ward, Kläre also provides dermatology support, advice and education to nursing, medical and pharmacy colleagues across the Trust.
Kläre has developed a special interest in psoriasis and eczema. Kläre has been a member of the British Association of Dermatologists since 2016 and has presented posters at the annual BAD conferences in 2019 and 2020 and the EADV in 2023.
Outside of work Kläre enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, walking and spending time in her garden.
